Monochrome Monday x Kandinsky

“Color is the key.
The eye is the hammer.
The soul is the piano with its many chords.
The artist is the hand that, by touching this or that key,
sets the soul vibrating automatically.”

– Wassily Kandinsky (1866 – 1944)

Why anybody would swim around in the lineup with a manual wind on 36 exposure film camera these days is beyond me.
The cost is exorbitant.
The chances of finding a competent E6 or C41 processor are slim,
You have to dodge the crowds on top of the water.
And what lurks beneath.
But now and again I still swim around with my Nikonos.
Sometimes, only film can render that decisive moment.
Check out The Nikonos Project to see what these devotees to 35mm can produce with gear that's at least 30 years old.

"Our job is to record,
each in his own way,
this world of light
and shadow and time
that will never come again
exactly as it is today."
Edward Abbey 1927-1989
