Monochrome Monday (down to the sea again)

Some salty snippets of memories and verse
for my siblings of the sea and assorted lurkers.

"I must down to the seas again,
for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call
that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day
with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume,
and the sea-gulls crying."

Monochrome Monday (high key)

I got a heap of words in my head for this morning's post. They cover shooting high key imagery, excess calorie consumption, crazy strangers preaching revolutions and myth-as-history and something about brine. But I just can't wake up properly and prize the words into some sort of semblance of sense, so the pics can talk today.

Monochrome (Blue) Monday

Our part of the Island had The Big Election on the weekend, resulting in triumph for one political party, an blatant outburst of media bias and absolute annihilation of the rest of the contenders.
I'm reminded of Blue Monday by UK band New Order, released in 1983 and then remixed and re-releases in 1988 and 1995. Some verses below.
"How does it feel
To treat me like you do
When you've laid laid your hands upon me
And told me who you are

I thought I was mistaken
I thought I heard your words
Tell me how do I feel
Tell me now how do I feel"
"Now I stand here waiting

I thought I told you to leave me
While I walked down to the beach
Tell me how does it feel
When your heart grows cold"
